FNB Universal Branch Code: 250655
Use the right code for a local EFT, a legacy form or an international payment.
The Universal Code
For 99% of payments, you only need this single code:
Do I need a specific branch code?
In the past, every FNB branch had a unique 6-digit code. If you opened your account in Sandton, you had to use the Sandton code.
Today, this is rarely necessary. For ordinary local EFTs to an FNB account, use the universal branch code 250655. FNB's payment-import guide identifies 250655 as its universal code.
Before using the list: Branches can move or close. If a form insists on a physical branch code, verify it in FNB's live branch locator. International transfers use a SWIFT/BIC code, not a South African branch code.

International Payments (SWIFT)
If you are receiving money from abroad (e.g., UK, USA, Europe), the sender will need FNB's SWIFT/BIC code, not just the branch code. FNB's Global Account FAQ confirms the code below.
