What is the FNB Aspire Credit Card?
The FNB Aspire is FNB's mid-tier credit card, positioned between the entry-level cards and the premium Premier and Private Clients tiers. It pairs eBucks rewards, two annual SLOW Lounge visits and FNB's app-first credit management — at a total monthly cost of R59.
The R59 monthly figure is the sum of two line items on FNB's official pricing guide: the R34 Aspire Credit Card monthly fee plus the R25 credit facility service fee. Many third-party comparison sites still quote the old R99 figure — this is no longer accurate per the 2025/26 pricing PDF.
The card runs on Visa with tap-to-pay and works with Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay and FNB Pay. A virtual card with a dynamic three-digit CVV is issued through the FNB App for online safety, with up to R7,500 in FNB Purchase Protect cover.

Interest rate and the National Credit Act cap
FNB describes the Aspire interest rate as "personalised and competitive" — set per applicant by credit bureau score and affordability assessment. FNB does not publish a fixed prime + range for Aspire.
At the SARB repo rate of 6.75% (held in March 2026), the prime rate is 10.25% and the NCA legal maximum on credit card interest is 24.85% per annum — calculated as (repo × 2.2) + 10%. New applicants typically land mid-range; longer-tenured FNB clients with strong bureau scores see lower personalised rates.
Aspire also runs promotional prime or prime + 2% rates on selected retail categories (Apple devices, bicycles, golf, PlayStation) and on 6-month budget plans. These are time-bound and apply only to the qualifying purchases.

- Reward level reviewed monthly on a rolling 12-month earn
